Subject: Roswell
To: My Friends and family that day at the Carlsbad KOA
While I wait for our laundry, I'll tell you about our trip through Roswell:
It started out innocently enough. Roswell is a larger city than we thought it would be with an indoor shopping mall, Wal-Mart and other big box stores and several Sonic drive in burger joints. The old downtown is where the alien stuff is.
I stopped into a local bar for a quick beer.
And, I guess I had a few too many:
One of us needed to use the restroom (no privacy in the privy):
I recovered but I was still feeling the effects and I could swear,,,
Naw, couldn't have been:
My wife found an alien who wasn't feeling well:
So being about as qualified of an alien doctor as anyone on earth (except maybe for Spielberg, but he was nowhere around, we think,,,):
Incredibly, the Visitor recovered and I saw him back to his ride:
And with that, we left Roswell. Now we're at a KOA north Carlsbad. Tomorrow we will tour the caverns and camp West of there somewhere on our way back home. So far we have put 2200 miles on the truck.
